Helps with:
Cramps
Dizziness
Headaches
General Pain
How it heals
In Chinese Medicine, Szechuan Lovage Root invigorates blood, moves qi, and dispels wind to calm and relieve pain.
In Western medicine, Szechuan Lovage Root reduces blood clotting and dilates blood vessels to increase blood flow to the heart and brain.
Fun fact: Szechuan Lovage Root is a flowering plant in the carrot family and is one of the most popular medicinal herbs in China and Korea, where it grows wild and has been cultivated for centuries.
What the research says
Szechuan Lovage Root protects cell integrity and
reduces inflammation by inhibiting LPS-induced NO
production
Read ArticleSzechuan Lovage Root contains phthalides and
alkaloids which have anti
-cerebral ischemia, anti myocardial ischemia, antithrombotic and anti
atherosclerosis properties.
Szechuan Lovage Root demonstrates a anti-platelet
aggregation that is induced by 5’-diphosphate (ADP),
thrombin (THR), and platelet arachidonic acid (AA). Two
bioactive compounds, ligustrazine and ferulic acid
mediate anti-platelet aggregation too. This creates a
combined effect of ligustrazine extending platelet
aggregation time induced by ADP and frees the
aggregation platelet, while ferulic acid inhibits platelet
release of TXA2 and increases the levels of cAMP.
